This is pretty awesome - although, for the record, I have to say that all the times I was there for praise in Taiwan, Phil was great on praise.

I think its not right not to explain what happened on the post!
From my understanding "someone" knocked over his electric guitar right before praise sending his guitar completely out of tune without his knowledge.
of course.. i don't understand why they kept going... that's a diff matter....

In Phil's defense, his guitar was dropped by one of the people setting up, so it got out of tune

Just for the record Phil, I had no part in this (other than making it). And yes a certain forgetful brother K dropped Phil's guitar right before Sunday Service.

RE: the last post. Monitors were not the issue. Phil (and everyone else in the room) was well aware something had gone terribly wrong, and he was trying to fix it on the fly. You could see this by looking at his bewildered yet concentrated face.
In hindsight, he probably should have stopped trying to fix it sometime before the third song (like during the first), and I probably should have muted him. I thought maybe he was trying some sort of "new" solo because he seemed so focused on it.
Again Phil was an awesome player, which made this event so singularly unique.
i'm sure he's a good player. but it still brings back unforgettable memories of when sf chapel started their garage band.
